Little boy Expectations for First Grade Students:  Little girl

        1.  Listen.

        2.  Use kind words.

        3.  Think before acting.

        4.  Talk it over.

        5.  Be quick to forgive.

*Consequences: These are the steps I will take within a one-day period. The child will  “move a stick” with his or her name on it to the appropriately labeled pocket throughout the day. Each child’s stick is moved back to "Free to Roam"  at the beginning of each day.

Step 1: Warning "Pasture"

Step 2: 5 minutes out of recess "Corral"

Step 3: 10 minutes out of recess "Barn"

Step 4: Note home to be signed and returned

Step 5: Conference with Mr. Thrall

Step 6: Phone call home and possible conference with parents and Mr. Thrall

*Rewards for good behavior: The class will work towards a reward party once a semester.  The class can earn gold coins for being "Top Hands".  Once the money bag is full, we will vote on the class reward.  All Top Hands will have a great time reaping the rewards of good behavior.

I have a treasure box in my room for students whose stick remains in "Free to Roam" for five days.  The five days do not have to be in a row. I monitor this with stickers on a chart.
