Ms. Crowell graduated from Emporia State University in May of 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In the fall of 1980,she began student teaching at Independence High School in Independence, Kansas to complete her teaching certification in Business. In the fall of 1981,she began teaching business and yearbook at Elk Valley High School. She continued teaching there until May of 1998. During this time she completed her Masters in Business Administration, certification in Computer Studies, certification in Office Occupations, and a Masters of Science in School Counseling. In August of 1998, she became the Jr/Sr. High Counselor at West Elk Jr/Sr High School in Howard, Kansas. During her tenure at West Elk, she completed her Masters of Science in School Leadership and added to her duties the position as assistant elementary principal and later became the Moline Elementary principal. She also completed the requirements to become certified in District Leadership. In July 2006, she moved to Elkhart, Kansas to become the Superintendent of Schools. She is now serving her sixth year in this position. She is also currently serving as the counselor at Point Rock Alternative School.
