Mrs. Diane Finn

I graduated in 1975 from the University of Texas in Austin (Hook ‘em Horns!!). I began my teaching career in Colorado Springs, Co. teaching 3rd grade. I moved to Elkhart in December of 1977 and began teaching 5th and 6th Science in August of 1978. I have taught a variety of grade levels and subjects while in Elkhart. I completed my Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in ESOL in 2004 at Fort Hays State University.
I finished my endorsement in Educational Leadership at FHSU in 2006.
After teaching for many years in Elkhart, I decided it was time to try something new so I accepted the Middle School’s Principal’s position this year. I am looking forward to the many challenges that this new job will bring, but more importantly, I am honored to have the privilege of working with so many of the youth in this community.
My husband Jim and I have been married for thirty-five years and have three beautiful children who have blessed us with eight beautiful grandchildren. Katie and her husband, Levi, have four children. Corinna and her husband Leo have one child, and J.W. and his wife, Jackie, have three children. I am thrilled that they all live in Elkhart because it’s the best place to be with the best school system around!
