PE supply list:   Non-marking gym shoes (will be stamped in sole)

                        Black shorts-----Need to be at least fingertip length.

                        White T-shirt----Needs to be loose fitting.

Physical Education Classroom Rules and Epectations

Course Objective: Students will participate on a daily basis in a program designed to provide each student with the knowledge to improve one's fitness and to  effectively participate in life long sports activities.

General Rules

1. Students are expected to dress and participate each day.

2. No food, drink, or gum will be allowed in the gyms or locker rooms.

3.  No jewelry will be allowed during class.

4.  Use of profanity will not be tolerated at any time.

5.  Students are expected to be dressed five minutes after the second bell.  Students will be allowed ten minutes at the end of the period to shower and dress.

6.  Friday will be health day.  Each Friday, a health topic will be discussed, along with a worksheet. Health will count 20% of a student's grade.

Dress

Students are expected to wear clothing appropriate for physical activity.  P.E. uniform should include tennis shoes, socks, t-shirt and shorts or sweat pants.

Behavior

1.  Students are expected to respect the rights of others.

2.  Students are expected to follow the rules of the activity.

Dressing Room

1.  Respect school and others property.

2.  Horseplay will not be tolerated.

3.  Each student should have a lock.  Student should lock their clothes during class and their P.E. clothes after class in their assigned locker.

4.  Students will remain in the dressing room or gym bleachers until they are dismissed.

Grading Guidelines:  Must dress out daily, participate to the extent physically possible, and have a

good attitude.   Inappropriate language falls under attitude.  Students start with 100 pts. weekly and loose 20 pts. for each violation.
