My life in a nutshell:

I spent the first 18 years of my life dubbed as a PK.  My Dad was a Nazarene pastor and every few years he'd feel the call to move on- so we did.  I was born in Oklahoma and moved many times in the years that followed.  I've lived in Oklahoma, New Mexico,Texas,Minnesota, Montana, Colorado and Kansas.  I consider myself a Kansan because I've spent more time here than anywhere else.

I went to school at MidAmerica Nazarene College in Olathe, Ks.  After graduating with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish, I accepted a teaching position in Campo, Colorado.   Since then, I've taught in the Vilas, Rolla and Elkhart School Districts.

I met my husband while teaching school in Campo. We have now been married for many, many years and have 4 pretty terrific kids.  Some of my hobbies are watching my kids participate in their many school activities, working on my beautiful house, helping out with church activities and reading.

Classroom Activities:

4th graders continue to incorporate and expand their technology knowledge.  We make power- points, posters, graphic organizers and more.  We will be implementing a new Math series for the 2007-2008 school year, and it will be an exciting change. We encourage our students to read, read, read by placing them in small reading groups allowing each child to work and be challenged at his or her own reading level. Our afternoons are filled with exploration.  We are exploring the United States in Social Studies and doing all sorts of hands-on activities in Science.  4th graders are given the opportunities to grow in knowledge as well as in social skills and independent thinking.
