Elkhart Cyber School is one of the first in the state of Kansas and across the nation to offer an innovative, online, educational opportunity for students in grades Kindergarten through 12th. Students complete coursework both on-line and off-line and communicate with their teachers and fellow classmates via chat rooms, discussion boards, and email, all from the comfort of home.
The goal of ECS is to provide students with a solid education through an alternative delivery method. Time and place take on new meaning when students have the flexibility to complete assignments at any time of day and from any location. While our delivery method may be flexible, our curriculum is solidly aligned with the rigorous Kansas State Standards and is facilitated by Kansas certified instructors. Students completing the program earn a Kansas diploma.
Studying from home, flexible scheduling, chatting with classmates... online learning has many positive benefits that attract students. However, as exciting as it may sound, online learning is also demanding and difficult. To be successful, experience has shown us that students should be highly motivated, self-disciplined, and have strong parental support and involvement. Students must also be committed to maintaining frequent, detailed communication with their instructors. All of these factors may add up to a learning experience that is more meaningful than in a traditional classroom.
ECS has much to offer to students and parents. Our program is built upon research-based theory and practice and is facilitated by certified instructors and administrators. If you are interested in learning more about the details of our program, take a look at our website at www.onlineECS.org.
