FOUTH GRADE ROCKET LAUNCH

Fourth grade launched model rockets on May 17, 2010. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed a morning without wind, which was perfect for the launch.
Fourth graders applied what they learned in science this year as they built and launched Estes Model Rockets. Principles applied with this fun project included forces, motion and circuits. Students learned about acceleration, gravity, natural forces, weight, and friction as their rockets defied gravity for a short time. To launch the rockets they used what they learned about simple circuits and electricity to set the engines off.
