3rd Grade Art Project

The 3rd grade art class studied about our government and elections. MacKenzie was voted as governor and Bethany and Andy were elected mayors of their towns. All decisions on the projects were made by these three. Bethany appointed Cambry as her lieutenant governor.
The students learned 1 person 1 vote. The name of the towns and whom they were going to give to town to were also voted on. The student gave speeches as why they wanted to be elected to an office. A lot of campaign promises that were not fulfilled (longer recesses, free food in the classroom…etc)
Bethany’s group gave their town to Mrs. Witcher and called it “Medical Town” and Andy’s group gave their town to Mrs. Leiker and named their town “Funnest”.
