Physical Education Rules
General Rules
1) No food, drink, or gum will be allowed in the locker room or in the gym.
2) Students must be dressed out on time.
3) Students are expected to participate in the class/activity being taught each day.
4) No Bullying or making fun of other people in the class. Have a good attitude and you will get good results.
5) Glass containers are not allowed in the locker rooms.
Excuses
1) A student will be counted tardy if they are not dressed out on time.
2) A student may be excused from participation with a note from a parent or a doctor.
Dress
1) Each student is expected to dress for and participate in class daily.
2) clothing includes: tennis shoes, socks, t-shirt, and shorts or sweatpants/windpants. (clothing must not have inappropriate language or designs)
3) Clothing must not be the same clothes worn to other class.
4) Do not wear school issued athletic equipment or uniforms in class.
5) Jewelry is to be removed.
Locked Room
1) Students will receive one lock for the year. If it is lost the student will be required to pay for it. Students may use their own lock, provided they give the combination or extra key to the PE teacher.
2) Lockers should be kept locked during and after class.
3) Students are encouraged to shower after participating in class.
4) Absolutely no horseplay will be tolerated in the locker room.
5) Glass containers are not allowed in the locker rooms.
6) Points from your grade will be taken away if you cause problems in the locker room.
Grading Policy
1) Each week is worth 50 points (10 points per day, tests count more).
Your Grade is based on dressing out, participation, attitude, any tardies, possible written work, and tests (written and skills).
2) Grade-FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE, POOR ATTITUDE, OR BULLTING (10 points off per day).
3) You will also lose points for NOT TRYING.
4) Participate and not dress (5 points per day).
*Penalty for not dressing and or participating 1st & 2nd Offence-10 points off
3rd & Etc-10 points off & sent to principal's office
Insurance
The school does not have insurance to cover accidents/injuries that occur during PE class.
