by Steffani Perry
October 11, 2009
Both the high school and middle school will be participating in an event to raise funds to help provide hats to cancer patients of all ages. The 4th Annual Hat Parade will take place Friday, October 16th. The hat parade is the number one fundraiser for the Heavenly Hats Foundation, which was started by student Anthony Leanna of Green Bay Wisconsin. Heavenly Hats is an official 501 (c)3 non-profit organization whose goal is to provide and ship new headwear to patients in need at no charge. Students and staff who donate $1.00 to the Heavenly Hats Foundation this Friday will have the privilege of wearing their favorite hat to school for the day. Individuals or businesses that would like to participate may bring donations to Steffani Perry or Chrissy Lacy at the high school. More information on the organization can be found at www.heavenlyhats.com.
"The American Cancer Society has listed the Heavenly Hats
Foundation as one of their main sources of reference for patients
who are facing the loss of hair due to cancer."
