Music Students Selected to Attend State Contest

Sixteen EHS music students have been selected to attend the Kansas State Solo/Ensemble Music Contest in Concordia on April 25th. State qualifiers are normally determined at Regional Solo/Ensemble Contest which was scheduled for March 28th. However, due to the recent snow storm the event was cancelled, forcing KSHSAA to create a different plan. KSHSAA decided to allow each school to determine their own state qualifiers not to exceed a specific number set by KSHSAA. The EHS music department put together a "mini" music contest in which the state qualifiers would be determined. Students performed in front of a panel of judges and the following were selected to represent EHS in Concordia:

Magen W.- Alto Sax Solo
