EHS Students Attend SCCC Extreme Challenge

March 12, 2008

Seward County Community College hosted their 3rd annual Extreme Challenge on Wednesday, March 5.  Students participated in various contest in accounting, administrative professionals, agriculture, art, computer information systems, cosmetology, criminal justice, journalism, and marketing/management.  The top three scoring individuals in each of the nine categories  were a prize.  First, second, and third place overall winners (based on total earned points) were awarded prizes. In order to qualify for an overall award a student must compete in at least two of the nine categories.  

Elkhart students receiving top honor this year in the 9 divisions were Nicole L.-1st art, Stephanie B.-2nd agriculture, and Reggie H. 3rd-journalism.  Other students doing well in the contest included:  Jasmine S.-1st-PowerPoint, Chris L.-6th Excel, Iram C.-8th-Logo Design and 4th-PhotoShop, Ricky I.-6th-Photoshop, Shalie H.-4th PowerPoint and 8th Computer Literacy, Tiawna C.-4th Excel, Josh R.-7th Video Games, Heidi S.-2nd News Writing and 10th APA Style, James W.-11th APA Style and in Sports Writing,  Reggie H.-5th Sports Story Writing and 4th News Writing,   and Nicole L-1st Pottery.
